Course Name : Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering

Computer Science and Engineering is aimed at studying, designing, developing, implementing, support and management of computer-based information systems. It provides advanced studies in Information Systems Design, Communication Systems and Networking, Foundations of Computing Systems, and Internet and Web-based Technologies. This course emphases on to develop the necessary skills for the students to sustain in today’s industrial expectation, in pursuit of excellence by keeping high personal and professional values and ethics.

Students take up electives from a wide choice of subjects, such as Embedded Low Power Systems, Object Oriented Systems, Information and System Security and Software Reliability.

Eligibility Details

Course Name : Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering

Basic eligibility for the programme is a pass at the +2 level (Karnataka PUC / ISC / CBSE / NIOS / State Boards) Examination from any recognised Board with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics. Candidates should have studied Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at Class XII level and obtained a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics.

Candidates writing the +2 examinations in March-May may apply with their class X and XI marks.

Students pursuing International curriculum must note that eligibility is according to AIU stipulations:
Applicants pursuing IB curriculum must have 3 HL and 3 SL with 24 credits.
Applicants pursuing GCE / Edexcel must have a minimum of 3 A levels, grades not less than C

Lateral Entry:
Candidates who have successfully completed the 3 year diploma in Engineering are eligible to apply for lateral entry into engineering programmes.
