From HoD's Desk

Department of Computer Science and Engineering has evolved into intensive teaching and learning experiences through industry driven Curriculum providing a wider platform for students to get placed. The Department strives hard to inculcate thought process among students in innovating through Research and product development in niche areas of Data science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer vision, Internet of Things and Network Security. Extending the knowledge acquired, the department indulges into creating workable Solutions for issues faced by Society through Service-Learning Modules.The Department at present has 29 Faculty with Doctorates and 16 Faculty members on the verge of completing PhD in various verticals of CSE. The vision of achieving excellence through service is the key factor that unites the department in and out of the day-to-day network.

state-of-the-art software and has class leading laboratory for hands on learning.

CISCO Networking Lab
 

This facility offered by Computer Science and Engineering department to promote students to equip themselves with cutting technologies in the field of networking. Currently this lab is offering Introduction to Networks, Routing and Switching Essentials, Scaling Networks, and Connecting Networks. The first 2 courses prepare for the Cisco CCENT certification exam or to study CCNA Security. All 4 courses are recommended before taking the Cisco CCNA Routing and Switching certification exam.

Machiene Learning Lab
 

This facility is a specialized advance programming lab that has systems with CentOS installed. The lab has a Hadoop cluster set up with one name node and 4 data nodes. This lab was set up to give the students hands on experience of handling the Hadoop framework, Big Data and its analysis. The Students carry out projects on Distributed computing. They also learn to configure the Hadoop framework and customize it according to the project requirements. Students are able to analyze the efficiency of the application based on the data and various factors that influence the performance of processing the data.

Red Hat Linux LAB
 

Red Hat Academy signed MOU with CHRIST (Deemed to be University) and CSE department became Institutional Member of Red Hat Academy. The MoU helps the students to avail the resources and tools in the Open Source Software in Computer science educational arena. Around 15 students and faculty members of computer science and engineering department have completed their RHCSA course through Red Hat Academy. The Department is offering Red Hat System Administration I (RH124) and Red Hat System Administration II (RH134) as certificate courses.

IoT Lab
 

This facility offered by the department helps to ignite the minds of the young aspirants and also make them ready to solve multidisciplinary problems. This lab helps students to learn advanced data collection, connectivity and analysis of information collected by computers everywhere—taking the concepts of Machine-to-Machine communication farther than ever before. The Students will also get hands-on experience with industry oriented hardware’s and software’s like CDAC test beds, raspberry pi etc.

High performance computing lab provides a serial and parallel computing facility which facilitates the scholars and students to pursue their research activities in multidisciplinary areas. This facility offered by Computer Science and Engineering department used for performing Descriptive analytics and Analytics Reporting in data analytics/ predictive analytics for inculcating research focus with student’s/research staff.
