Course Name : Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science)

Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) is a 4 year, 8 semesters undergraduate program which is a new, exponentially growing field that consists of a set of tools and techniques used to extract useful information from data. The program encompasses data Science as an interdisciplinary, problem-solving oriented subject that learns to apply scientific techniques to practical problems.

Data Science program orients on practical classes and self-study during the preparation of datasets and programming of data analysis tasks. This course emphasis on to develop the necessary skills for the students to sustain in today’s industrial expectation, in the pursuit of excellence by keeping high personal and professional values and ethics.

Eligibility Details

Course Name : Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science)

Basic eligibility for the programme is a pass at the +2 level (Karnataka PUC / ISC / CBSE / NIOS / State Boards) Examination from any recognised Board with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics. Candidates should have studied Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at Class XII level and obtained a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics.

Candidates writing the +2 examinations in March-May may apply with their class X and XI marks.

Students pursuing International curriculum must note that eligibility is according to AIU stipulations:
Applicants pursuing IB curriculum must have 3 HL and 3 SL with 24 credits.
Applicants pursuing GCE / Edexcel must have a minimum of 3 A levels, grades not less than C

Lateral Entry:
Candidates who have successfully completed the 3 year diploma in Engineering are eligible to apply for lateral entry into engineering programmes.
