Course Name : Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering

The department aims to facilitate the development of competent professionals in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, who are capable of keeping pace with changing technologies and provide service to the society

Programe Outcomes

  1. An ability to apply Engineering knowledge of computing, mathematics, science, and computerscience and engineering fundamentals for Problem solving.
  2. An ability to think critically to identify, formulate, and solve complex computerscience and engineering problems by developing models, evaluating validity and accuracy of solutions in terms of computer science and engineering validity measures.
  3. An ability to analyse, design of complex problems, implement, and evaluate a computer-based system, to meet expected needs with appropriate considerations such as economic / environmental/societal.

Programe Specific Outcomes

  1. Understand and analyze the generation, transmission, distribution and protection of modern power systems.
  2. Design, implement and test power electronics circuits and modern drive systems.
  3. Design, develop and analyze control systems in automation using emerging computing frameworks.
  4. Design, develop and implement electronics systems for electrical applications through inter disciplinary projects.

Eligibility Details

Course Name : Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Basic eligibility for the programme is a pass at the +2 level (Karnataka PUC / ISC / CBSE / NIOS / State Boards) Examination from any recognised Board with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics. Candidates should have studied Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at Class XII level and obtained a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics.

Candidates writing the +2 examinations in March-May may apply with their class X and XI marks.

Students pursuing International curriculum must note that eligibility is according to AIU stipulations:
Applicants pursuing IB curriculum must have 3 HL and 3 SL with 24 credits.
Applicants pursuing GCE / Edexcel must have a minimum of 3 A levels, grades not less than C

Lateral Entry:
Candidates who have successfully completed the 3 year diploma in Engineering are eligible to apply for lateral entry into engineering programmes.
