NCC is a student organization that ensures
allround development of its
representatives. It is considered to be the second line of defence. In NCC, students get
to experience the defence life and standards
through unity and Discipline.
NCC inculcates values of moral in the students like punctuality, discipline
and brotherhood. National Camps and Regional camps provide motivational learning from officers of the
armed forces. Cadets involves rigorous physical and mental training in order to achieve strength and
endurance. Loads of opportunities await the
cadets of NCC, as it provides the best experiences
to cherish and live with the greatest values imbibed from
defence services.
School of Engineering & Technology, offers training under the Air Wing of the National Cadet Corps. The University has a total number of 50 cadets with 33 boys and 17 girls. Parades and theory classes are held during the afternoon session on Saturdays. Training programme: The total number of parades in a year is Twenty. Training is held in the University campus. The regular parades include training in drill, reading, weapon training, obstacle etc. It also includes parades for firing, social service and adventure,
The adventure activities are Flying, parasailing, rock climbing, Range firing, Skeet Shooting, mountaineering, cycle expedition, trekking etc.
Cadets from CHRIST (Deemed to be University) have been at the helm of activities at the Directorate. They have represented the State in the Officers’ Training Academy attachment camps, All India Vayu Sainik Camps, National Integration camps, and other state-level camps.
B & C certificates holders can directly join the Defence forces as officers. Preference is given to B & C certificate holders in Defence Services, Police services, Para- Military forces, Fire forces, BSF, Territorial Army, Industrial Security Forces, Public Sectors, and all uniform services.
